Requirements

  • Recommended model: Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) for 4K HDR Dolby Vision
  • Apple TV HD: compatible but limited to 1080p
  • Minimum speed: 15 Mbps for 4K Dolby Vision
  • Apple ID: required to download from the tvOS App Store

Method 1 — Infuse 7 (Recommended)

Infuse is the best-integrated app on tvOS. The free version supports M3U playlists; the Pro version ($9.99/year or one-time purchase) adds advanced EPG and optimized 4K HDR.

  1. On your Apple TV, open the App Store.
  2. Search for Infuse 7 and install it.
  3. Open Infuse and go to Settings → Libraries → + Add.
  4. Choose M3U URL and enter your IPTV X France M3U URL.
  5. Tap Save. Infuse loads the channel list automatically.

Method 2 — iPlayTV for tvOS

  1. Search for iPlayTV in the tvOS App Store and install it.
  2. Open iPlayTV and select + Add a Source.
  3. Choose M3U URL and paste your M3U URL.
  4. Access your channel list from the library.

Method 3 — IPTV Smarters Pro for tvOS

Available on the tvOS App Store, compatible with Xtream Codes.

  1. Install IPTV Smarters Pro from the tvOS App Store.

Picture Quality on Apple TV 4K

The Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) natively supports:

  • AV1: built-in hardware decoding for modern streams

Enable Match Frame Rate in Settings → Video and Audio → Match Frame Rate to avoid judder on European channels (50 Hz).

If you prefer to browse content on your iPhone, use AirPlay 2 to send the stream to your Apple TV. Open your IPTV app on iPhone, start playback, and tap the AirPlay icon → select your Apple TV.

Common Issues on tvOS

4K Stream Drops to 1080p

Make sure your TV is connected with at least an HDMI 2.0 cable to the Apple TV. In Settings → Video and Audio, verify the resolution is set to 4K SDR / 4K HDR. If the HDMI cable is old, replace it with a certified HDMI 2.0 cable.

Infuse Not Finding Channels After an Update

Go to Infuse Settings → Libraries, delete the M3U source and re-add it. The IPTV X France M3U list is dynamically generated; if your subscription was renewed, the URL may have been refreshed (check your most recent confirmation email).
