Configure IPTV on MAG Box — Complete Guide 2026

The MAG Box: A Dedicated IPTV Device

MAG boxes (Infomir MAG 250, 254, 256, 322, 324, 351, 420, 424, 522) are devices specifically designed for IPTV. They run a proprietary Linux OS and connect to an IPTV server via the Stalker Portal protocol (also called Portal URL). Setup is straightforward but requires your device’s MAC address.

Tests performed on MAG 322W1 (built-in Wi-Fi), MAG 420 (4K), and MAG 524W3 (AV1).

Required Information for Setup

  • Your MAG Box MAC address: found on the label on the bottom of the device or in Settings → System → Network Information
  • IPTV X France portal URL: provided in your confirmation email
  • Network connection: Ethernet (recommended) or 5 GHz Wi-Fi for equipped models

Important: Share your MAC address with our support when placing your order so it can be registered on the portal.

Step 1 — Connect the MAG Box to the Network

Via Ethernet (Recommended)

Plug an RJ45 Ethernet cable between your MAG Box’s LAN port and your ISP router. Network configuration is automatic via DHCP.

Via Wi-Fi (MAG 322W1, 524W3)

  1. From the MAG interface, go to Settings → System → Network.
  2. Select Wi-Fi and choose your network.
  3. Enter your Wi-Fi password.
  4. Verify the connection (an IP address appears if successful).

Step 2 — Configure the Portal URL

  1. From the MAG interface, go to Settings → System → Settings.
  2. Enter the admin access code (default: 0000).
  3. Go to Servers → Portal 1.
  4. In the Portal URL field, enter the URL provided by IPTV X France in your confirmation email.
  5. Make sure Portal 1 is enabled.
  6. Press OK to confirm.

Step 3 — Restart and Access the Catalog

  1. From settings, press Restart Portal.
  2. The MAG Box loads the IPTV X France portal — the channel catalog interface appears.
  3. Navigate with your MAG remote buttons to access live channels, VOD, and series.

Advanced Settings for Maximum Quality

MAG 420 / 522 / 524 (4K)

  • In Settings → System → Display, select resolution 3840×2160 (4K)
  • Enable HDR10 if your TV supports it
  • Minimum recommended speed for 4K: stable 25 Mbps

MAG 322 / 256 (HD)

  • Recommended resolution: 1920×1080 (Full HD)
  • If stuttering occurs, reduce to 1280×720

Troubleshooting Common Issues

“Portal Unavailable” Error at Startup

Check the portal URL (no spaces, no missing characters). Test your internet connection from Settings → System → Network Test. If the test fails, check your Ethernet cable or restart your ISP router.

MAC Address Rejected

Contact IPTV X France support via our contact form with your exact MAC address and order number. MAC registration typically takes less than 2 hours.

Slow Interface or Freezing

Perform a portal reset from Settings → System → Settings → Reset Portal. Note: this will erase locally saved favorites.

No Audio on 5.1 Channels

In Settings → System → Settings → Sound, set the audio output to Dolby Digital (SPDIF) if your AV receiver is compatible, or PCM Stereo for TVs without a Dolby decoder.
