The portal maps your TV's MAC address to a playlist.

SmartOne identifies each television by its MAC address. You add that address on the device-management page along with your playlist URL, and from then on the app fetches its configuration from the portal every time it launches. Nothing is typed on the television beyond reading the address off the screen — which is the point, because entering a long URL with a TV remote is miserable.

Yes — each set is a separate device on the portal.

Add as many devices as you own; the manage-devices page lists them all with their last-connection time. Simultaneous viewing is limited by your IPTV X Hub plan, not by SmartOne: registering three televisions on a one-screen plan works fine, but only one can play at a time. The 2, 3, 4 and 5 screen plans exist for households that watch in parallel.

Free trial, then a one-off fee per device.

There is a trial period, after which the developer charges a single activation payment for that device. It does not recur. Like every player fee on this site, it is paid to the app developer and is separate from your subscription with us — we cannot bundle it, discount it or refund it.

Nearly always a copy-paste error in the URL.

Open the playlist URL in a browser on your computer. If it downloads a file, the URL is good and the problem is what was saved on the portal — re-paste it, watching for a trailing space or a missing character at the end. If the browser returns an error instead, the credentials themselves need checking and you should contact us. Do not retype the URL by hand; copy it.

The television's processor is the bottleneck.

Smart TV chipsets are much weaker than phones or streaming boxes, and they get weaker as the set fills up with background apps. Restart the television, connect it by ethernet, and close anything else running. If it still stutters where a phone on the same Wi-Fi is clean, you have hit the hardware ceiling — an Android TV stick with IPTV Smarters Pro costs little and removes the problem entirely.

The app only reads the portal at launch.

Close SmartOne completely on the television — returning to the home screen is often not enough, so exit the app properly or restart the set — then open it again. It pulls the configuration once, at startup. This trips people up regularly because the change is visibly saved on the portal while the TV keeps showing the old list.

Same flow; LG webOS tends to be the fussier of the two.

The activation is identical. In practice LG webOS sets are more likely to need a full power-cycle before they pick up a new configuration, and very old webOS versions sometimes cannot install the app at all. Samsung Tizen sets generally install without drama. If your model refuses both SmartOne and IBO Player, the television’s software is the limitation and an external box is the answer.

About 10 Mbps per HD stream, 25 Mbps for 4K.

Budget roughly 10 Mbps of stable throughput per HD stream and 25 Mbps for 4K, multiplied by however many screens run at once. Televisions almost always sit further from the router than phones do, so a set that struggles on Wi-Fi while everything else is fine is usually a signal-strength problem rather than a bandwidth one. Ethernet, or a mesh node in the same room, fixes it.
