Open the Play Store on the Android TV device itself and search TiviMate. Installing remotely from a phone often lands the mobile-layout build.
First run asks how to add a playlist. Choose Xtream Codes, then enter the server URL, username and password from your activation email. TiviMate will pull categories, VOD and the guide in one pass.

The first EPG fetch covers several days across every channel and takes a few minutes. Leave the app open. Interrupting it is why some people end up with a guide that is half populated.
Settings → Playback: lower the buffer and confirm hardware decoding. Then long-press channels to build a favourites group — TiviMate is far more pleasant once the 30 channels you actually watch are on one list.
Amazon's store does not carry TiviMate. Enable developer options, install Downloader, and pull the APK from the official site. Keep the Downloader app afterwards — you will need it for updates too.
Android TV and Google TV hardware only.
Android TV boxes, Google TV dongles, the Nvidia Shield, Amazon Firestick and Fire TV Cube, and Android-based projectors. That is the whole list. There is no iOS version, no Samsung Tizen or LG webOS version, and no desktop version, and there never has been — any site offering you a “TiviMate for iPhone” download is offering you something else. On a phone or tablet the app installs but the interface expects a D-pad, so it is a poor experience.
No. Premium adds features, not access.
The free version plays every channel on your IPTV X Hub plan and shows the full guide. Premium adds recording, multiple simultaneous playlists, picture-in-picture and layout customisation. It is bought from the TiviMate developer and has nothing to do with your subscription with us — we cannot issue, extend or refund a Premium licence. Try the free tier for a week first; plenty of members never upgrade.
Xtream Codes, unless you have a specific reason not to.
Xtream Codes pulls the channel list, the category structure, the VOD library and the guide through one authenticated connection, and it updates automatically when we add channels. An M3U link gives you a flat channel list and requires a separate EPG URL to get any guide at all. The only situation where M3U wins is a device too old to speak the Xtream API, and no Android TV box we support falls into that category.
Lower the buffer and confirm hardware decoding.
Go to Settings → Playback. Reduce the buffer size a step at a time and make sure hardware decoding is on rather than software. On a Shield or a recent Google TV device this makes zapping close to instant. On low-powered hardware — first-generation Firesticks especially — cutting the buffer too far trades slow changes for stutter, so find the point where it is fast but still stable and stop there.
Premium feature; pick your storage first.
Recording requires Premium. Once it is active, open the guide, select a future programme and choose Record, or hit Record during live playback. Set the storage location before your first recording — internal storage on a Firestick fills up in about two matches, so a USB drive or network share is worth configuring up front. Recordings are stored as plain video files you can copy off the device.
Yes, on channels where catch-up is available.
Channels that carry catch-up show an archive icon in the guide. Scroll back in the guide, select the programme and play it exactly as you would a live channel. Coverage varies by channel and the window is typically a few days. If a channel shows no archive icon, catch-up is not offered on that feed — it is not a fault on your device and reinstalling will not add it.
Sideload it with Downloader — Amazon does not carry it.
On the Firestick, open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and allow apps from unknown sources. Install Downloader from the Amazon store, open it, and enter the APK address from the official TiviMate site. Once installed, the app appears with your other apps. Keep Downloader — updates arrive the same way, since Amazon will not push them for you.
Export the settings file from the old device.
Settings → Backup lets you write your playlists, favourites and layout preferences to a file. Copy it to the new device — a USB stick or any cloud drive works — then restore it from the same menu on the fresh install. Your Premium licence follows the Google account rather than the box, so signing in with the same account on the new device carries it over.

TiviMate is an Android TV application. It is not on iOS, it is not on Samsung Tizen or LG webOS, and there is no Windows build. On a phone it is technically installable and genuinely unpleasant to use, because every part of the interface is designed around a directional pad. If your main screen is not an Android TV box, Google TV device, Nvidia Shield or Firestick, stop here and use IPTV Smarters Pro instead.
The free tier plays live channels and shows the guide. That is enough to confirm your IPTV X Hub account works and to decide whether you like the interface. It caps you at one playlist and hides recording, multi-view and the customisable layouts.
Premium is bought from the developer, not from us. Your IPTV X Hub subscription and your TiviMate licence are separate purchases and neither one affects the other.
Out of the box TiviMate buffers conservatively. In Settings → Playback, drop the buffer size and enable the decoder your box actually has hardware support for. On a Shield or a recent Google TV dongle the result is channel changes fast enough that the guide stops feeling like a web page. On a first-generation Firestick, leave the buffer alone — that hardware needs the headroom.
TiviMate hides categories per profile rather than per PIN prompt. The practical setup for a shared household is one profile with the adult categories visible and one without, each with its own favourites list. Switching profiles is two clicks from the main screen, so treat the hidden profile as a convenience rather than a lock.
